How to configure your order settings in Order Desk for Etsy integration?

Order Desk gives you flexibility when managing your Etsy orders. You can either upload them manually or set up automatic pulling so that new orders flow directly from your Etsy store into Order Desk. Once your orders are in Order Desk, they will be sent to merchOne for fulfillment.

In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps to configure your order settings in Order Desk to ensure a smooth connection between Etsy and merchOne.

Upload orders manually

You can create orders in merchOne by simply importing a CSV file manually. Here's a simplified guide on how to use CSV file upload for order creation.

Automated Order Management through Order Desk

You can configure your Etsy integration settings so that new orders are automatically pulled from your Etsy store into Order Desk as soon as they are placed.

To set up automatic order pulling from Etsy to Order Desk, follow these steps:

1. Access Order Desk and log in with your credentials. Locate the Etsy integration and ensure it is connected to your Order Desk account.
   
2. Click on the Etsy setup, and in the menu, locate the options for Automatic Order Import. Toggle these settings so that new orders are automatically pulled from Etsy into Order Desk as soon as they are placed.
   
3. You can further configure which orders are imported by adjusting the filters in the Order Import Preferences For example, you can choose to import only paid orders or specific product categories.
    
4. Set up and configure your products. Ensure that the SKUs for your products on Etsy match the corresponding product SKUs in merchOne. This is the most essential step, as the SKU is the unique identifier used to link the products across platforms.
   
5. After your Etsy orders are pulled into Order Desk, set up an automation rule using the Rule Builder feature to send orders to merchOne for fulfillment automatically. This ensures that orders for the right products are sent directly to merchOne.
   
6. Test the integration by placing a test order on Etsy. Ensure that:

• The order is pulled into the Order Desk.
• The correct product mappings are applied.
• The order is sent to merchOne for fulfillment.

Important note: While our current integration through Order Desk simplifies order automation and fulfillment, a Direct Integration with Etsy is currently in development and is expected to be released in 2025.
